Description
In a quiet residential suburb on Ponta Negra beach at the southern end of Natal, about a 15 minute taxi ride from the centre. A member of the Roteiros de Charme group.

Excursions to the interior can be arranged including trips to the world's largest display of pre-historic rock art, dinosaur tracks, remote beaches, or buggy safaris. Within easy reach (1½ hours south) are the stunning beaches around Pipa (home to dolphins and turtles) and north from Natal is Genipabu, where towering sand dunes fall straight into the sea.

Our comments
A charming small hotel with a wonderful restaurant (especially for fish) owned by the family of geologist and archaeologist Eduardo Bagnoli, a good friend of ours who has sadly passed away. The hotel is a perfect base for explorations into the fascinating north-east of Brazil.
When to go
Year round.
Client comments and reviews
Manary Praia was great (including a glass of cooled coconut water when we finally arrived at 03:15 in the morning). Comfortable with very nice staff, excellent food and a great position. - JR (December 2006)
