Grajagan Surf Resort
Location
Ilha do Mel (Curitiba, Morretes and the Atlantic rainforest, Brazil)
Description
A funky beach resort nestled among the dunes just off Praia Grande beach (famous for its surf). A short walk from the island's main village of Brasilia, Grajagan takes its name from one of Indonesia's most famous surfing breaks and has private access to the beach. The design is modern and artistic, more Brazilian than Asian, with Gaudiesque multi-coloured tiles and shapes combined with local handicrafts, including a number of colourful fishing boats. The restaurant and bar are open to the public while guests have private access to a number of viewpoints including a raised terrace overlooking the beach.
Accommodation
Varied accommodation from garden suites and small standard rooms to family mezzanines and (best of all) ocean view superiors with a deck where you can watch the sun set over the ocean.
Our comments
Would suit a younger audience, good for honeymoons. The beach itself is more geared to surfing though there are other options close by,
