Description

A simple posada in the quiet little town of Altamira de Caceres, ideal for resting a night between a visit to the Llanos and Merida.

Activities

There are trails through the cloudforest or you can continue up into the high Andes and paramo.

Accommodation

The rooms are quite simple but comfortable and meals are taken in a sister property (Posada Altamira) up the road. There are hammocks to relax in around the central patio, and plans to build a pool (in 2008).

a nice place to stop to break up a journey, in a small, typical Venezuelan village.
