Description
An unusual hotel boasting Uruguay's first glamping facilities. There are two sections, the first of which comprises of 10 cabins that are sporadically perched on stilts behind the dunes. The other half consists of tents and yurts on raised wooden platforms so as to minimise the impact on the landscape. There is an organic vegetable garden and a small pool alongside the outdoor restaurant. The beach is moments from the accommodation and is complemented by a well stocked beach bar.
Activities
Surfing, kite-surfing and whale watching (July-October)
Accommodation
The yurts and tents are all en-suite with hot water and have a small deck with a hammock. The cabins are a good size and have a fully equipped kitchen and a sheltered deck.
Our comments
The hotel is open all year, but cabins are recommended for the winter months.
