Description

Just outside the small town of Carmelo and surrounded by vineyards, this winery lodge is ideal for those looking to spend a couple of days relaxing and sampling Uruguay's famous wines. The hotel also makes its own dairy products, including cheeses, yoghurts and ice creams, which are available in the restaurant.

Activities

Wine tours and tastings, picnics in the vineyards, biking and riding. All can be arranged locally. There is also a pool and outside terrace to cool off during the warm afternoons.

There are five comfortable and light rooms in the main house with some pretty, original features.

Tucked away in a lovely spot, the Narbona Wine Lodge is a truly boutique hotel. It offers an authentic taste of Uruguayan countryside with Relais & Châteaux service.

Finca Narbona was the perfect place to place to relax and wind down. We loved the remote, rural setting, the birds, the gardens and the pool. The restaurant was of a very high standard, especially breakfast where everything was absolutely fresh, including excellent bread from their bakery. A bit pricey perhaps but we didn?t mind as it was a special place. - PG (December 2015)
