Belmond Andean Explorer Train
Location
ex Cusco (Cusco, Peru)
Description
South America’s first luxury sleeper train traverses the stunning high plains of the Andes between Cusco, Puno and Arequipa. Service on board is of the highest standard and the food excellent.
Capacity
48
Activities
Depending on the route taken there may be one or two stops made (see itineraries).
Accommodation
Beautifully designed, the train offers four cabin categories each with its own en-suite bathroom with shower.
Our comments
If you can, it is worth opting for one of the suites as these have almost full-sized beds and are closer to the communal carriages. Twin and bunk cabins have narrow, short beds which don't particulalry lend themselves to a good nights sleep.
