Description

The lodge sits at 2,600m in the Talamanca mountain range, and in 20 hectares of private cloud forest a few kilometers from the small village of San Gerardo de Dota. It has beautiful views of the forest with self-guided nature walks leading through it, and there is a gallery with local artwork and a dining room. Breakfast is included and lunch and supper are ordered á la carte. .

Nature trails, bird watching tours, excursion to the Cerro de la Muerte (Mountain of Death!)

Accommodation

The 12 rooms are distributed throughout the gardens with floor-to-ceiling windows, a private terrace and brightly coloured furnishings.

Our comments

Some of the terrain around the property is steep and so is not suitable for those with knee problems.
