Description

The rustic Caleta Gonzalo cabins, overlooking the Reñihue fjord are simple and homely. A restaurant served good food, including sandwiches (fixed menu).

Activities

There are numerous well-marked trails throughout the Pumalin park, and it is usually possible to organise a boat trip to a nearby sea lion colony.

Accommodation

7 wooden cabins, with low ceilings, all of which are slightly different. There are two more cabins the other side of the road, with a kitchenette, for 2 or 4, only sold on a self-catering basis, for minimum of 3 nights.

Our comments

A hire car is highly recommended, as there are few trails that leave from the cabins themselves. It rains 7m per year here, so is verdant for a reason!
