Club Tapiz, Mendoza

20km south of Mendoza (Mendoza, Argentina)

Description

A small historic posada dating back to 1890 in Luján de Cuyo and only 20 minutes from Mendoza. It is full of character and is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding vineyards. Facilities also include a very good restaurant and pool. Staff are friendly and will help arrange a visit to their actual vineyard which is a short drive away. In the evenings there are usually wine tastings.

Accommodation

7 very comfortable rooms all with TV, safe and private bathrooms with bath and wine based amenities! Also an additional four rooms in Casa Zola right next door (originally the owners private residence) with a shared living room and gardens (no room service)

Great place - loved it. Ate in the restaurant each night in gastronomic splendour. Wine tasting each evening ideal: we were the only two and there were two bottles provided! We drank the residual wine from the tasting with our meal (courtesy of a well-tipped waiter). Highly recommended. - TA (February 2011)

We were delighted to be in Casa Zolo rather than main house at Club Tapiz - the rooms are much bigger, there is a huge sitting area and a wrap around verandah - and llamas in the garden. I would highly recomend it. - AS (November 2009)

Club Tapiz is superb (although expensive) and very close to the city for sightseeing/shopping etc - RR (January 2007)
