A comfortable ice-strengthened polar vessel, originally built for the United States agency NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration). She has an observation lounge, lecture theatre, dining room, bar and library and an outside viewing deck.

Experienced and knowledgeable expedition staff lead shore and zodiac excursions, and give daily lectures on board.
Accommodation
46 cabins on 2 decks. All have an outside view through either a window or porthole (on the lower decks). Some lower deck cabins share a bathroom with one other cabin (called 'semi-private').
When to go
Mid November to mid March.

Itineraries marked as Weddell Sea Quest share a similar itinerary to the Classic Antarctica itinerary, but include time in the Weddell Sea and an extra day on board.
Itineraries marked as Polar Circle Quest are also similar to the Classic Antarctica itinerary, but pass through the Antarctic Circle and include two extra days on board.
Cruises start and end in Ushuaia (Argentina).

11 cabins on the lower deck with private bathroom, two lower berths, and a porthole.
Premier Twin
6 twin cabins on the upper deck have private bathroom facilities, two lower single berths, and a window.
Single cabin
There are 2 single cabins on the upper deck, with a window and private bathroom facilities.
Suite
4 suites on the upper deck have windows, two single lower berths, private bathroom facilities, a sitting room, TV, DVD player and fridge.
Superior Twin
9 superior twin cabins on the upper deck each have windows, private bathroom facilities and two lower single berths.
Triple cabin
2 triple cabins, on the lower deck, have private bathroom facilities and a porthole.
Twin with shared facilities
12 cabins, on the lower deck, each have bunk beds and semi-private bathroom facilities (1 bathroom shared between 2 cabins). Each cabin is equipped with its own wash basin. They have a porthole.
