A first class expedition ship custom-designed for Antarctic operations with a forward facing observation deck allowing the best wildlife viewing opportunities. She has stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters and an ice-detecting radar. She is also equipped with an energy-recovery system that recycles the heat produced by the engines to warm up the ship and its water supply. There is a library, gym, sauna, bar, lounge, dining room, presentation room and glass-enclosed observation lounge.

Activities
International expedition staff lead shore excursions and give daily lectures on board. Sea kayaking is available at an additional cost (basic previous kayaking experience is necessary) and camping is also available on selected voyages at additional cost. There are limited places for these optional activities and so they should be booked well in advance.
Accommodation
Most cabins on are on decks 3 and 4, range in size from 20 to 40 square metres and all, with the exception of the Porthole cabins, have a private veranda. Almost all cabins have beds that can be configured as double or twin and they all have a wardrobe, individually controlled heating system, a sitting area, and a private bathroom with shower.

The ship is primarily based in the Antarctic Peninsula for the season (November to March) and passengers fly there from the South America mainland (Punta Arenas).
All Air Cruise departures include a flight between King George Island (Antarctica) and Punta Arenas (Chile). The first night and final night are spent in a hotel in Punta Arenas.

Deluxe Veranda Cabin
The 24 deluxe veranda cabins (22 square metres) are on deck 4 and the majority have beds that can be configured as double or twin. Each one has a sitting area, private bathroom with a shower, a veranda and individually controlled heating system.
Penthouse Suite
The 3 penthouse suites (33 square metres) are on Deck 5, next to the observation lounge. The two room suite has a sitting room, bedroom, private bathroom with a shower, a veranda and individually controlled heating system.
Porthole Cabin
The 6 porthole cabins (18 square metres) are in the bow of the ship on deck 4, and the only cabins that do not have a veranda. The majority have beds that can be configured as double or twin and each one has a sitting area, private bathroom with a shower and individually controlled heating system.
Single Cabin
The only dedicated single cabin (19 square metres) is on deck 3 and has a sitting area, private bathroom with a shower, a veranda and individually controlled heating system.
Suites
This two room suite measures 44 square metres and is on deck 4, next to the library, and is the largest cabin. It has a sitting room, bedroom, private bathroom with a shower, a veranda and individually controlled heating system.
Triple Suite
The triple suite (44 square metres) is on deck 4 and the only cabin with two bedrooms. It also has a sitting area, private bathroom with a shower, a veranda and individually controlled heating system.
Veranda Cabin
The 10 veranda cabins (19 square metres) are on deck 3 and the majority have beds that can be configured as double or twin. Each one has a sitting area, private bathroom with a shower, a veranda and individually controlled heating system.
