Boobies in the Galapagos are suspected of hanky-panky as a very unusual specimen with one red and one blue foot is spotted performing its ritual dance. An alternative suggestion put forward by scientists from the Charles Darwin Research Station is that the unfortunate bird had landed on hot lava from a recent eruption and burnt its foot.
It is hoped that the new colour will inspire a new look for a well-know brand of rubber washing-up glove.
